Strömfors Ironworks area

The ironworks was established by Johan Creutz on the West branch of river Kymijoki in 1698. Most of the buildings in the area were built around the year 1800.

Today the ironworks area gives you an opportunity to spend your holidays in a historically remarkable environment. The old traditions are still respected which gives the place a special atmosphere. In summer there are craft shops, smithy museum, restaurant and cafe.
